Agrosperity Tech Solutions Private Limited (operating under the brand name KiVi) is an agri-tech start-up that aims to make farming a livelihood of choice for millions of Indians. KiVi stands for Kisan Vikas which means farmer development. The key value propositions of KiVi are a unique digital platform and KiViStar (Local Franchisee) network. The KiViStar network will physically connect with the last mile Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and their farmer members and enable them to access the services offered on KiVi. KiVi will provide farmers with digital/mobile-first experience to buy their inputs, sell their marketable surplus, and access timely loans and insurance at affordable cost.

About the Position:

We are looking for a suitably experienced and dynamic candidate to lead insurance portfolio. Insurance Manager will be primarily responsible to build and manage our insurance business portfolio.

Qualification and Experience:


  • Graduate in any stream.
  • Post-Graduation or equivalent are preferred.

Age group:

  • 30-45 years


  • Minimum experience of 7 years in Insurance with Minimum 3 years of experience in managerial roles handling various insurance products including group insurance.
  • Experience in managing team, Sales operations, Business development.
  • Experience in in designing and introduce insurance products and Process development in coordination with insurance companies.
  • Experience in insurance sales will be an added advantage.


  • Candidate must be proficient with English reading, writing and speaking.
  • Knowledge of Hindi, Tamil and other regional languages would be an added advantage.

Digital proficiency:

  • Excellent skills in MS Office, MIS, Communication systems and social media.


  • Ability to work in a diverse multi stakeholder environment involving insurance companies, banks, financial institutions.
  • Ability to work in a diverse team involving local resource and techno-professionals.
  • Solid understanding of insurance policies and products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Business Operations:

  • Build and lead KiVi’s Insurance business.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationship with field staff to drive sales.
  • Oversee insurance training and support for field staff.
  • Designs, updates and implements policies, procedures and protocols to ensure efficiency and accuracy in insurance operations, including usage of technology platform, KiVi for onboarding customers and service providers.
  • Responsible for overseeing the insurance operations and ensure that all activities are carried out as per the standard operating procedures.
  • General administration of all insurance provisions including claim settlements.

Business Development:

  • Establish and maintain relationship with insurance providers in line with guidelines.
  • Identification of the insurance needs of KiVi’s customers (farmers) and partners like KiViStars, FPOs, SMEs etc.
  • Based on the above, identify suitable insurance service providers for onboarding on KiVi platform.
  • Provide technical guidance on matters related to product- cover, risk tolerance, policy terms, premium, credit limit, tenor etc.
  • Continually review insurance policies to confirm that policyholder needs are best addressed.
  • Constantly review and negotiate contractual insurance obligations with service providers for better premiums and process TAT.

Relationship building and management:

  • Increase customer awareness on insurance product through dedicated customer connect programs.
  • Ensure that the field staff are adequately trained for the delivery of insurance products and resolving customer queries.
  • Meeting prospective customers with channel sales team to sell insurance solutions.
  • Take an active part in the renewal process and ensure adherence to timelines.

Reporting and MIS:

  • Supervise and ensure MIS and Reports as per the formats and schedules provided by the Company.
  • Prepare periodic data analytics for strategic decision making.

Salary Range:

  • As per market standards based on existing salary. Salary will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
